Here we go!

Student life begins with studies.

A new experience is waiting for us! We will study in Breda during three months, from the 27 of January to the begining of May. Let's talk about our future university : Avans Hogeschool of Breda!                                                     

Avans Hogeschool was founded in 2004 as an university of Applied Sciences rooted in its social environment which places at Hogeschoollaan, 4818 Breda. There is also a famous scientific research centre at Avans. More 24 000 study over there and Education is focused on connecting people and creating knowledge. The university wants foreign students to feel at home in The Nerdelands. During these three months, we will follow english-language study programmes. The International study programmes of Avans are said as the best in the Nederlands. We hope we will be welcome! But there is no need to worry about it, a system of "studdy buddy" is explained on the website. Other students will welcome and help us at Avans and in the city. A good way of meeting new people in The Nederlands! We will talk about it later, when we will arrive over there.
We can be very proud to study over there because the university has got the title of the best major university of applied sciences in The Nederlands by the Dutch Centre for Higher Education Information. And as a proof, here is the article published the 31st of October 2011 : http://www.studyatavans.com/UserFiles/Press_release-GB.pdf. Last year, Avans Hogeschool got this title too. This signifies that we'll have to work seriously if we want to pass our exams!

 
Let's be honest, student life isn't all the time synonym of studies. We will write in this chapter our student life in Breda and the Dutch student lifestyle such as how do they live there, what is their conception of student life in Breda and the way of working in The Nederlands, how do they party, if there is a split between the population of Breda and them. We will tell you how we will be integrated in this student life too. We hope we will meet a lot of people and we could learn Dutch culture from them.
