Bagels and Beans is a chain of cafés and restaurants where you can eat, no suspens here, bagels. But not any simple bagel. You are invited to chose the bread, the meat, the fish or the tofu, the sauce. Don't panic if you have never eat a bagel or if you have not any idea, the staff is very helpful, welcoming and smiling. The waitresses can advise you in Dutch or in English.

The atmosphere of Bagels and Beans is very specific, the café is very cosy and warm with some American touches mixed with a touch from the south of France for a typically Dutch result.

You can go to family or between friends there to have lunch or take a copious snack. We recommend you the bagel to the salmon of Norway with red onions and cream, it is very delicious.

LATOUR (Website in Dutch too)

LATOUR is a lunchroom and a shop of wine and cheese. But the only thing which is French in this restaurant is the name. Beyond the thematic decoration with several bottles calling back the name of the famous wine and the name of the store, you are eating in front of pieces of Gouda cheese or of edam. The staff is smiling but does not speak english very well.

Dutch people love sandwiches! In the restaurant LATOUR, don't expect to eat anything else. However these sandwiches are really good. You can find Italian and Dutch specialities with French touch. Don't hesitate to eat warm sandwiches with tomatoes, tapenade and ham from Parma, it is really tasty!

In the Netherland, there is a big supermarket as Carrefour, Geant, Auchan in France. However we can find little discount supermarket like Aldi. As far we are concern, we buy our food and house products in the famous variety shop in Holland:l Albert Heijn. There is a lot of Albert Heijn store in Breda and the food is not so expensive, quitely the same as France.

We can buy all we want and we need. Moreover, in the supermarket, we can find a kiosk, which sells cigarettes ; a bakery, a butcher's shop and a cheese shop.
